An early start, using string LED bulbs, from 2019. In these experiments, I had graduated from learning how to program and wire up the larger version of the ESP8266 Chip, and was amazed that the smaller WeMo D1 did pretty much the same thing in a quarter of the space. Each LED can thus be individually programmed.
